The National Park is an active volcanic landscape of steaming craters, emerald lakes, alpine gardens, ancient lava flows and ecosystems ranging from temperate rainforest and beech forest to tussock shrubland and high alpine zones.

We provide competitively priced shuttles to the Ruapehu ski fields in winter and the Tongaririo Alpine crossing in summer, both located in the adjacent Tongariro National Park. Plus, we can provide a fully guided tour package, or some simple advice for a more "do it yourself" adventure.
